Just a Bit Confusing

Best friends, inseparable since childhood, one in love with the other, the other straight and in love with a woman.
Stories like this don’t have a happy ending; James Grayson knows it. He puts on a smile, he laughs, he jokes, and he pretends he’s fine when Ryan kisses his girlfriend in front of him—until he can’t.
Except nothing is easy and letting go turns out to be much harder than one might think. Some bonds are too strong to be broken, even for a straight man. And sometimes love and desire can have different faces and layers.

A story of two men trying to function without each other and failing.

Just a Bit Confusing is about best friends named James “Jamie” Grayson and Ryan Hardaway. They have been best friends since they were little kids and now they are in their twenties. Complicated than confusing is a way to describe their relationship. James Grayson is the biological brother of Tristian DuVal we meet him in the previous book. His father had and affair and had Tristian, James is unaware of the fact that Tristian is his brother. Ryan is the little brother of Tristian’s boyfriend we learned about both of them from the previous book.

Hannah and Ryan are together and he isn’t interested in me. However he is completely emotionally attached to Jamie. He will do whatever Jamie asks him to do and describes it as being his protector of a sort. When he had a bad day he likes to cuddle with him like a favorite toy.

“I don’t give a fuck what people say,” Ryan said. “I want a good cuddle after this sucky day.” He smiled at the unintentional rhyme and opened his arms. ” Come here Jamie bear.”

Rolling his eyes but grinning, Jamie walked over and all but flopped on top of Ryan.

Jamie is the son of a Lord who is trying to get him to marry a woman that he has no interest in. We find out that not only is Jaime gay but he is in love with Ryan. When Ryan finds out he attempts to find him a replacement love because he loves him but he isn’t in love with him. He even starts to feel guilty for making Jamie feel some sort of way. Eventually Jamie cant live with Ryan being with Hanna and he tells him he has to be on his own and he hopes that he will get over him in awhile so in a sense it was ” either me or her”. Ryan choose him.

“Hannah and I cant coexist in your life. Please don’t ask that of me. I cant Ryan.”

Then it becomes nothing more than need and lust but never want because in a sense Ryan is not gay. I likes this one it was weird and really confusing for both of the characters. I think that if you had a friend this dedicated to you, you might find yourself in this situation. At least I would like to believe so, lol. Who are your favorite emotionally dependent characters? tell me in the comments below. Until Next Time.
